Ike Freeman, the sophomore, is a completely different baseball player as UNC prepares to host North Carolina A&T on Friday afternoon in the NCAA tournament. He’s the starting shortstop now, totally confident, a team leader, a run-producer batting in the No. 5 hole, a steady defender at a demanding position. He was named third-team All-ACC last week.
