North Carolina's baseball team won its regional for the first time in five years this past weekend, beating N.C. A&T and Houston, twice, along the way.
But it only gets tougher from here, as UNC (41-18) will face a Stetson (48-11) team that has the best overall earned run average (2.50) in the country. Stetson is riding an 18-game winning streak, which is also the best in the nation.
"They're pitching numbers, yeah, they're scary," UNC coach Mike Fox said Thursday. "Six hundred and seventy-something strikeouts as a staff? That's mind-boggling."
"We're going to have to match them on the mound for sure.
