Hoeg Leads Tar Heels Past JMU, 15-5

CHAPEL HILL—The No. 1-ranked North Carolina women's lacrosse team got a career day from Katie Hoeg and beat No. 24 James Madison, 15-5, on Sunday afternoon at Dorrance Field.

Hoeg tied her career high with five goals and added four assists for a career-high-tying nine points. She set her previous goal high of five versus Louisville in 2018 and her previous scoring high was nine versus JMU in 2019.

Jamie Ortega scored four goals and added two assists for Carolina, running her consecutive goals streak to 23 games and her consecutive scoring streak to 53.
