CARY, N.C. -- The UNC women's tennis team (27-0) swept No. 24 Wake Forest (17-12) 4-0 on Saturday morning at the Cary Tennis Park.
North Carolina began the morning with wins on doubles courts one and two to clinch the doubles point and enter singles play with a 1-0 lead over Wake Forest.
The No. 11 ranked tandem of Fiona Crawley and Carson Tanguilig recorded a 6-1 victory to clinch UNC the doubles point. It was No. 16 pairing of Elizabeth Scotty/Reese Brantmeier winning on court one 6-2, to give the Tar Heels the leg up.
