So the baseball game between UNC and South Carolina in Charlotte went differently than the football version in September. UNC got 6.1 innings of shutout baseball from Hunter Williams to go with a parade of hits en route to a 15-0 shellacking of the Gamecocks.
Also of note was Chris McCue's appearance in the ninth inning where the senior struck out the side. McCue was a key figure in UNC's run to the College World Series in 2013 and in line to be the Tar Heel closer before suffering a blood clot in his shoulder. Since then he hasn't been the same but look closer to it in his appearance versus South Carolina.
