WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The North Carolina women’s soccer team stayed unbeaten Sunday afternoon as the Tar Heels defeated Wake Forest 1-0 on a rainy afternoon at Denny Spry Soccer Stadium. The win improved Carolina to 10-0-1 on the season and 3-0 in the ACC as the Tar Heels stay tied atop the conference standings with Pittsburgh. Wake Forest fell to 4-5-1 overall and 1-2 in the league race.
The Tar Heel goal came at the 16:27 mark as Summer Green scored off her own rebound to give the Heels the only score they would need in compiling a clean sheet against the Demon Deacons.
