CHAPEL HILL – Coming down to the eighth inning on an 0-1 pitch, junior Taylor Greene slugged her second home run of the season for North Carolina's extra-inning, come-from-behind, 3-1 win over UConn on Friday evening at Anderson Stadium.
Carolina's Brittany Pickett and Payton Kinney of UConn maintained a scoreless game through the sixth inning. The Huskies jumped on the board first with a solo-shot in the sixth. However, the Tar Heels capitalized on a UConn miscue to knot the game at 1-1 in the seventh as Kristina Burkhardt crossed the plate.
