Austin Greaser birdied the eighth and ninth holes for the second consecutive day at the Masters and shot a 5-over-par 77 in blustery conditions in the second round Friday at the Augusta National Golf Club.
The University of North Carolina junior missed the cut by three shots after shooting 74-77 for a 151 total.
Greaser finished within a stroke of 2015 Masters and U.S. Open champion Jordan Spieth and four-time major winner Brooks Koepka; tied 2020 Olympic gold medalist Xander Schauffele and Stewart Cink; and beat 2013 U.S. Open champion Justin Rose and 2019 U.
