Austin Greaser shot a course record 64, the second-lowest round ever by a Tar Heel freshman, sophomore Ryan Burnett has the lead after 36 holes and the University of North Carolina men's golf team has a 17-shot advantage on the field after Sunday's play at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate in Verona, N.Y.
The Tar Heels shot 5-under-283 in the first round to trail host Missouri by a single stroke, but blistered the Kalhuyat Course at Turning Stone Resorts in the afternoon with an 18-under-par 270, which tied the second-lowest round (by strokes and score to par) in UNC men's golf history.
