CHICAGO - Carolina football standout Jeremiah Gemmel has been selected to the preseason watch list for the Butkus Award that honors the nation's best linebacker at both the collegiate and high school level.
Gemmel, a native of Newnan, Ga., has started all 25 games over the past two seasons for the Tar Heels.
