CARY, N.C. – The UNC women's cross country team took second and the men were third Wednesday in morning of racing at the Wolfpack Invite. The four-school meet at WakeMed Soccer Park included Duke and Virginia as well as host NC State.
For the second time in as many races, a pair of freshmen led the way for the Tar Heels. In the men's 8K race, which went off at 9:30 a.m., Will Coogan crossed first for Carolina, in 24:09.6, good for 10th place overall. In the women's 5K race, at 10:15, Sasha Neglia placed third overall in 17:29.
