Four members of the UNC track and field team will compete at the U.S. Olympic Trials, which begin Friday in Eugene, Ore., also the site of NCAA Outdoor Championships earlier this month.
Daniel McArthur, a senior from Mooresville, N.C., will compete on Friday in the men's shot put, the first event of the trials. Action begins at 3 p.m. ET/noon PT.
Jill Shippee, a senior from Clifton Park, N.Y., will compete on Thursday (June 24) in the women's hammer.
Madison Wiltrout, a senior from Connellsville, Pa., competes next Friday (June 25) in the women's javelin.
