Four North Carolina field hockey players have been named to the 2016 U.S. Junior World Cup team, announced recently by USA Field Hockey. The squad will compete Nov. 23-Dec. 4 in Santiago, Chile.
The first 14 members of the team have been announced, with four spots still to fill. Tar Heels on the roster so far are Ashley Hoffman, Gab Major, Lauren Moyer and Julia Young. Kristy Bernatchez is among the pool of eight players competing for the remaining spots, which will be announced in late September.
