Katie Hoeg, a senior on the North Carolina women's lacrosse team, has been selected as the winner of this year's Jim Tatum Memorial Award, an honor that goes each year to one outstanding UNC student-athlete "who has performed with distinction in his or her sport and who has contributed to the University community through constructive participation in co-curricular activities."
Hoeg was one of four student-athletes honored as the 2019-20 Chancellor's Awards were announced online on Thursday. The only campus-wide student recognition program at Carolina, the event is held on campus each spring.
