BALTIMORE, MD. – Joe Seivold, one of the all-time great lacrosse players in University of North Carolina history, was elected to the U.S. Lacrosse National Lacrosse Hall of Fame, as announced by the organization Thursday.
A four-time All-America midfielder for the Tar Heels from 1983-87, Seivold becomes the second member of his family in the Hall of Fame, joining his namesake father, Joseph, who was inducted in 1979. His eldest son, Johnny, a four-year letterman as a midfielder at UNC from 2001-05, introduced him.
