CHAPEL HILL, N.C.—North Carolina scored 52 unanswered points and dominated Campbell, 59-7, on a sunny Saturday afternoon at Kenan Stadium.
After the Fighting Camels tied things at 7-7 midway through the first quarter, UNC pitched a shutout the rest of the way and limited Campbell to 287 total yards in the game.
Meanwhile, the Tar Heels piled up 594 offensive yards and a season-high 59 points, their best output since beating Appalachian State in a wild, 63-61, game early last season.
Running back Omarion Hampton ran at will for 144 yards, and Drake Maye tied his season high with four touchdown passes in an efficient, 16-for-23 performance for 244 yards.
