North Carolina’s impressive run in the ACC Baseball Tournament came to a screeching halt on Sunday.
The Tar Heels had scored 34 runs in its first three games, but ran into one of the hottest teams in the country – Florida State. UNC managed just seven hits, and the Seminoles won for the sixth straight game after scoring five runs in the eighth inning en route to a 7-3 victory in the ACC championship game.
North Carolina scored three in the second inning but allowed one in the third and one in the seventh before the five-run eighth.
