The ACC stayed smart and kept its best two teams apart until late October.
Clemson and Florida State, the last two ACC champions, will meet on Saturday, Oct. 29 in Tallahassee, Fla. The conference’s marquee game was played later in the season in 2015 to help build a little hype for the league.
The two Atlantic Division powers will be featured several times in the league’s national midweek contract with ESPN.
