Once upon a time, Charlottesville was a place Tar Heel fans wanted no part of in football. For a long time UNC just couldn’t find a way to win there. Now, the pendulum has shifted in the South’s oldest rivalry and Saturday’s win was the Tar Heels’ seventh in a row over Virginia. The win was also UNC’s ninth consecutive win on the road. That feat hasn’t been matched by another UNC team since before most of the players’ parents were born.
One difference in Saturday’s game from the previous wins this season is that the Tar Heels finally found a way to have a comfortable victory.
