CHAPEL HILL – Five North Carolina women's lacrosse players have earned spots on the 2020 Inside Lacrosse All-America teams, the magazine announced on Tuesday.
Senior Katie Hoeg and juniors Jamie Ortega and Emma Trenchard were named to the first team, giving the Tar Heels the most first-team selections of any school. Securing honorable-mention honors were junior Scottie Rose Growney at attack and redshirt junior Taylor Moreno at goalie.
This marks the second time Hoeg, Ortega and Trenchard have garnered first-team All-America honors. Their inclusion on the first team makes them the 13th, 14th and 15th players in program history to earn first-team All-America honors more than once.
