North Carolina, the ACC regular season women's tennis champions for the sixth time in seven seasons, will begin postseason play ranked No. 2 nationally according to Tuesday's release of the updated Oracle/ITA rankings.
The Tar Heels continue to boast five singles players among the top 125 in the nation, and a pair of doubles tandems in the top 10.
Makenna Jones and Alexa Graham both slipped one place in the singles standings this week to No. 6 and No. 7, respectively, while junior classmate Sara Daavettila checks in No. 14, down two places despite two wins last weekend against Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.
