It was early in 1988 when Tim Federowicz and his family moved from Erie to North Carolina. It was there he grew up and learned the game of baseball. Federowicz became good enough at it to be recruited by UNC. He was a senior for the 2008 Tar Heels when they qualified for the College World Series. The Boston Red Sox also picked Federowicz.
