TYLER, TEXAS --- The sixth annual Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List was announced Tuesday at the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce East Texas Kick-Off Luncheon, and North Carolina junior quarterback Nathan Elliott is among the candidates.
Elliott appeared in five games in 2017 and threw for a team-high 10 touchdowns in leading the Tar Heels to a pair of wins in the final three games of the season. A native of Celina, Texas, Elliott completed 171 of 264 pass attempts for 2,624 yards, 44 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in leading Celina High School to a 13-3 record and a berth in the state semifinals as a senior.
