CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Eight University of North Carolina women's lacrosse players earned All-ACC and All-Freshman honors, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Tuesday afternoon. UNC's eight total selections are the most of any school in the league.
As voted on by the conference's 10 head coaches, the All-ACC First and Second Teams consist of three attackers, three midfielders, three defenders, one goalkeeper and six at-large bids. The All-Freshman Team is composed of the top 12 rookies regardless of position.
The Tar Heels' two first team picks include Emily Nalls and Brooklyn Walker-Welch, while Reilly Casey, Alyssa Long and Caitlyn Wurzburger secured a spot on the second team.
