CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. – Carolina softball took the lead in the second inning, but the Tar Heel offense drew quiet, as Boston College avoided a series sweep with a 5-2 victory in Sunday’s finale. The win lifts BC to 20-15 (4-5 ACC), while UNC falls to 22-19 (7-8 ACC).
The Tar Heels were limited to just four hits in the game but drew five walks and two hit batters. Berlynne Delamora was 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and an HBP, while Taylor Wike tripled and drove in a run with a bases-loaded walk.
