North Carolina freshman Megan DuVernois has been named to the 2017 U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Field Hockey Team, announced Friday by USA Field Hockey. Selections for the Under-17 and Under-19 National Teams were made following tryouts Dec. 27-30 at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa.
DuVernois, a forward from Collegeville, Pa., is one of 26 players selected for the U19 roster. For the full roster, click here.
As a freshman at UNC in 2016, DuVernois played in all 26 games for the Tar Heels, who finished as the NCAA runner-up. She scored four goals, including one gamewinner, and had one assist.
