CHARLOTTE—Zion Williamson had 31 points and 11 rebounds as Duke beat North Carolina, 74-73, on Friday night in the ACC Tournament semifinals in the Spectrum Center.
Cameron Johnson scored 23 for the Tar Heels in a losing effort, and Luke Maye added 14 points and 13 rebounds.
UNC shot 4 for 27 as a team from three-point range in the game.
With the win, Duke improved to 28-5 this season and advanced to the ACC final vs. Florida State. Carolina fell to 27-6.
In the first half, Carolina led by as many as 13 despite the Tar Heels missing 11 of 14 three-point tries and allowing Duke to hold a 28-16 edge in points in the paint.
