CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina has been selected as the No. 3 seed NCAA Terre Haute Regional in Terre Haute, Ind., and will play No. 2 seed Iowa (42-14) on Friday, June 2.
Host Indiana State (42-15) is the tournament's No. 14 overall seed and will play No. 4 Wight State (39-21).
North Carolina (35-22) is making its 35th all-time NCAA appearance, sixth consecutive and third straight under head third-year coach Scott Forbes. The Tar Heels have reached the postseason in 20 of the last 23 years, excluding 2020.
UNC and Iowa have met twice, most recently in 2020, with the Hawkyes posting a 5-4 win at Cambrian Classic in Minneapolis, Minn.
