UNC made it official Wednesday evening that Bill Belichick would be their next head football coach. His contract, which is pending approval from the Board of Trustees, is for five years. While Belichick was certainly not on the initial short list of candidates to replace Mack Brown, he clearly impressed enough people within the program that conversations continued up to the point of them offering and him agreeing to take the job.
Part of Belichick’s pitch to UNC was said to be a now infamous 400-page “bible” that contains his plans for bringing an NFL style program to Chapel Hill.
