SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The North Carolina women's basketball team fell 88-76 at No. 23 Syracuse Tuesday afternoon in the Tar Heels' first road trip of 2021. Despite a sterling third quarter that saw UNC shoot 61.1 percent from the field and lead by as many as nine points, Carolina fell to 7-5 on the season and 2-5 in ACC play.
The matchup at the Carrier Dome was the second of the season with the Orange, now 7-1 (4-1 ACC). UNC won the first, in Chapel Hill on Dec. 17.
Carolina returns to action on Sunday at noon, hosting Notre Dame at Carmichael Arena.
