North Carolina (3-0) used a strong defensive performance to notch a 59-47 victory over VCU on Wednesday at Carmichael Arena. Janelle Bailey scored 18 points and was a rebound shy of another double-double. Paris Kea added 15 points and four steals and Shayla Bennett had 10 points.
