GILBERT, Ariz. — UNC junior Marissa Creatore has been honored as the Longstreth/NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week as announced Wednesday by the NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association). Creatore, a forward from Chapel Hill, was announced Tuesday as this week's Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Rutgers goalkeeper Gianna Glatz is the NFHCA National Defensive Player of the Week.
Creatore earned conference and national honors for the first time in her career after playing key roles in both UNC wins last weekend. Friday at No. 12 Boston College, she scored to tie the game after the Tar Heels trailed early, then assisted on Catherine Hayden's game winner in the 25th minute of play.
