ORLANDO, Fla. -- On Tuesday, the United States Tennis Association announced that Fiona Crawley and Carson Tanguilig will receive main draw wild cards at the 2023 US Open after winning the 2023 NCAA doubles championship.
This marks the second time in three years that a Tar Heel doubles duo will compete in the US Open. 2021 NCAA Doubles champions Makenna Jones and Elizabeth Scotty were the last UNC doubles tandem to play in the grand slam event.
Crawley and Tanguilig defeated UNC teammates Reese Brantmeier and Elizabeth Scotty in the All-UNC women's doubles final, 6-1, 2-6, (11-9).
