SAN DIEGO - Fiona Crawley and Elizabeth Scotty have joined an exclusive club of national champions at the University of North Carolina. The Tar Heel duo rallied to win the finals of Main Draw Doubles at the 2021 ITA Fall National Championships from the Barnes Tennis Center.
Seeded fourth, Crawley and Scotty went up against Old Dominion's tandem of Tatsiana Sasnouskaya and Yuliia Stardubtseva, the third seed and 57th ranked team in the nation.
ODU got the upper hand in the match by winning the opening set 6-4, but was unable to maintain its momentum as Crawley and Scotty roared back to knot the match at a set apiece with a 6-2 victory in the second set.
