Adelaide Cooke, a junior on the UNC rowing team, was one of 190 University of North Carolina students inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honorary society this spring. Cooke, a coxswain on the team, is from Cary, N.C., and is working toward a double major in biology and chemistry.
Cooke is in her second season as a varsity coxswain after being part of the novice squad as a freshman. She is part of the Honors Carolina program and a member of Alpha Chi Sigma chemistry fraternity. After completing her undergraduate degree, she plans go on to graduate school to be a physician assistant.
