THE MATCHUP

♦ North Carolina (11-3) will play its first Atlantic Coast Conference game of the 2015-16 season when it hosts Clemson (7-5) on Wednesday December 30.

♦ The Tigers and Tar Heels will tip off just after 7 p.m. in the Smith Center.

♦ Carolina is playing its second game in three nights after beating UNCG on Monday, while Clemson is playing its first game in nine days (since a Dec. 22 loss at Georgia).

♦ Dave O’Brien (play-by-play) and Jay Bilas (analyst) will call the game for an ESPN2 national television audience.
