CLEMSON, S.C.—Clemson forced 17 turnovers and limited North Carolina to 18 points in the paint in a 63-50 win over the Tar Heels on Tuesday night at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Neither team shot well in the game, with the Tigers finishing at 40 percent and the Tar Heels at 39 percent, but Clemson's defense helped overcome a 38-28 UNC rebounding advantage.
The Tigers led, 33-21, at halftime after forcing 10 UNC turnovers in the opening 20 minutes. Clemson led by as many as 16 in the first half.
