CARY, N.C. – North Carolina men’s tennis senior Brett Clark finished as the runner-up in the finals of the ITA Carolinas Regional Tuesday afternoon at Cary Tennis Park. Clark fell to Wake Forest’s Skander Mansouri , who played nearly error-free tennis en route to a 6-3, 6-4 win.
Clark played seven matches over a six-day span in reaching the singles final for the second time in three years. It marked the fourth straight year and the fifth time in the past six years that a Tar Heel had reached the final in this event.
Mansouri returned well early in the match, achieving his first break of Clark’s serve at 3-2 in the first set.
