Louisville, Ky. – North Carolina senior running back Michael Carter has been named to the Paul Horning Award Honor Roll after his outstanding performance last Saturday in the 48-21 victory over NC State.
Carter touched the ball 20 times three different ways against the Wolfpack. He rushed 17 times for 106 yards and the game's first score, a 16-yard first quarter run, caught two passes for 46 yards and returned a kickoff 24 yards. Carter accounted for six first downs rushing and receiving.
The Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse, now in its 11th season, is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission and football legend and Louisville native Paul Hornung.
