ROME, Georgia - Simultaneous victories on courts three and four lifted top seed North Carolina to a thrilling 4-3 victory over third seed Georgia Tech to repeat as Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Tennis Champions on Sunday afternoon from Rome Tennis Center at Berry College.
North Carolina (30-2) wins its eighth ACC women's tennis championship in program history, and third under the leadership of head coach Brian Kalbas, who also brought home titles in 2011 and 2016. The Tar Heels also notch back-to-back titles for the first time since winning four in a row from 1977-80.
