CHICAGO - No. 2 North Carolina received singles wins from its top three courts to earn a 4-1 victory over No. 8 NC State in the quarterfinals of the ITA National Team Indoor Championship on Saturday afternoon from XS Tennis Village.
The Tar Heels improved to 9-0 on the season, while the seventh seeded Wolfpack drop to 10-2.
UNC will take on No. 5 Duke on Sunday in the semifinals at 1p.m. ET.
Carolina's doubles teams put in another impressive shift to take the early 1-0 lead over the Wolfpack, who entered the day having not surrendered the doubles point in its first 11 matches of 2020.
