CHAPEL HILL - The second day of the Janis Hape Dowd Invitational saw North Carolina break a school record in the 200 medley relay to highlight an outstanding day for the host Tar Heels from Koury Natatorium.
Carolina's 200-yard medley relay team shattered the program record and the Koury Natatorium mark with a time of 1:24.26. The team of Tyler Hill, Valdas Abaliksta, Boyd Poelke and Jack Messenger not only set the UNC record but the time was only .16 seconds off an NCAA "A" qualifying cut.
