CHAPEL HILL - No. 2 seed North Carolina delivered another clutch performance in the NCAA Women's Tennis Championship on Saturday with a 4-0 shutout of Mississippi State in a second round match from Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
Carolina (28-3) advances to the NCAA Championship Round of 16 for the ninth-straight season, and will compete Thursday in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The opponent and time of the match will be announced at a later time.
UNC played an efficient doubles match, winning first on court one with No. 2 Jessie Aney and Alexa Graham picking up a 6-2 victory.
