LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Writing her name atop the UNC record book, Brittany Pickett tossed 2.1 innings of relief to earn her 12th career save in the Tar Heels' 10-7 comeback win over Louisville on Saturday afternoon.
Led by a 4-for-5 outing by Kristina Burkhardt, Carolina slugged 14 hits despite falling behind early in the game to fight back for the victory. Starting pitcher Hannah George struck out four in her 13th win in 4.2 innings while Pickett closed out the game to overtake the career saves record previously held by Lisa Norris (2006-09) at 11.
