CHAPEL HILL --- The University of North Carolina swimming and diving teams will return to competition after a three-week layoff Friday when the Tar Heels host Georgia at 3 p.m. at Koury Natatorium. Carolina is coming off a sweep of East Carolina on Oct. 4, with the men edging the Pirates 157-143 and the women notching a dominant 170-115 victory. The Bulldog squads are both ranked in the top 25 (women 12th, men 14th) and are also 1-0 on the year following a sweep of Alabama Oct. 4 in Birmingham.
Sophie Lindner, Allie Reiter and Robyn Dryer paced the Tar Heel women's swimmers with two individual wins each in the victory over ECU.
