CHAPEL HILL – Prior to Saturday’s 8-3 victory over Boston College, North Carolina softball honored four upcoming graduates as part of the annual Senior Day celebration. Tar Heel pitcher Kendra Lynch and catcher Erin Sugg were recognized, along with senior manager Allie Leake and second-year graduate assistant athletic trainer Aliza Nedimyer.

Kendra Lynch has made her mark on the Tar Heel program on both offense and defense. Last season as a junior, she pitched 80 percent of Carolina’s innings and broke five single-season records, earning All-ACC First Team as well as three ACC Pitcher of the Week awards.
