Carolina Falters to No. 13 Arizona

CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – Unable to overcome Arizona's Taylor McQuillin, North Carolina fell to the 13th-ranked Wildcats, 10-0 in five innings on Thursday afternoon. McQuillin allowed one hit with one walk in the shutout.

An error in the third and a hit by Taylor Wike in the fourth inning ended the no-hitter, but that would be all for Carolina who slides to 5-6 on the season. Each of Wildcat in the starting lineup recorded a hit with Reyna Carranco and Jessie Harper logging two for Arizona, now 9-1 overall.

After a scoreless first inning, Arizona's Alyssa Palomino sent a solo-shot to right for a one-run lead.
