CARRBORO, N.C. - Ranked No. 1 and having already won a third-straight indoor national title this spring, the North Carolina women's tennis team heads into spring break with a 15-0 record and an unblemished 4-0 mark in ACC play after dispatching of No. 12 Virginia, 4-1, on Sunday from the Chapel Hill Tennis Club.
The Tar Heels improve to 15-0 on the season after taking down the Cavaliers for the second time in 2022. Virginia suffers its second loss this weekend after losing 4-3 to Duke on Friday and falls to 10-3 overall and 2-2 in the league.
