DURHAM, North Carolina - Duke picked up a 71-55 victory over North Carolina in the latest chapter of the rivalry held Sunday afternoon at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
North Carolina (12-10, 2-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) placed three in double figures, led by 16 points from Jamie Cherry. Freshman Stephanie Watts added 13 points and 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double, while N’Dea Bryant registered her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Azura Stevens led Duke (15-6, 4-3) with a game-high 26 points and 14 rebounds.
Duke scored the first eight points of the third quarter to break open a one-possession game at the half.
