Carolina Comes Up Just Short In ACC Championship Final

CARY, N.C. – Despite two second half goals, North Carolina (11-1-0) fell 3-2 in the ACC Championship Final to top-seeded Florida State (11-0-0) on Sunday afternoon.

North Carolina surrendered its fourth goal of the season just two minutes into the contest when Florida State finished a corner kick with a header into the right side of the net past Claudia Dickey.

Just four minutes later, Florida State added a second goal with a strike from Clara Robbins outside of the box that ricocheted off of the right post and in. Coming into Sunday's match, North Carolina had not given up multiple goals in a single match since Nov.
